kitty is so cute
does she look happy to you?
anyway, there is this times magazine reader that asked the designer of hello kitty on why does hello kitty not have a mouth.
aiya maybe you've known the answer already but I was quite impressed by the brilliant effort placed in designing this sanrio character leh.
so hello kitty doesnt have a mouth because her subjective facial expression is determined by how the consumer's feelings is projected onto her. meaning, if the person looking at kitty is happy, then kitty will look happy. it has all got to do with the human's pschology lar. I think the function of kitty being expressionless is very thoughtful because it brings the kitty fans/consumers closer to her for that fact that she SEEMS empathetic. That makes her a very huggable soft toy all the time!

him when ..YOU LOSE YOUR HANDPHONE?! I will punch him lor ( if I happen to have a pikachu soft toy) .
ya...anyway, I'm not a kitty fan la. All sanrio characters are good in terms of how they're being publicised and the characters' image. actually san-x has the potential go on par with sanrio leh but sadly, many san-x characters ( like my childhood cartoon character, kogepan) are going to extinct, I'm seeing diminishing kogepan items as I grow older !!!! san-x should really cater more to global audiences !
oh noooononononono ! there is a gp content quiz tmr. =\ I think kitty is incapable of displaying anxiety on her face. I cannot visualise her looking disgusted too.
