Ungrateful Brats

a city of possibilities.

I've questioned myself what is real reason behind such an overwhelming turn out of the crowd every year.

are you really sure that it was just an innocent answer: celebrate the nation's birth since independence?
I have witnessed people whom refused to stand when the National Anthem was played.

you bunch of ungrateful brats. go and learn your protocols right before you even dare to continue to struggle for survival in Singapore. (erm obviously, this was not taken during the anthem. took that down when the performers were singing stand up sinapore, then everyone started standing up and proceeded to the exits -_-)

I really felt an urge to punch their heads when I saw them sitting down. Unfortunately, they were not sitting directly in front of me. I won't be bothered by any humiliating consequences whichever party has to bear. I'd only be doing what's right as a citizen and as for them, it's their problem.I also feel like pulling the rubber band ( yes the one that is used to tie leftover tidbits) off from the hair of the pink shirt girl. MUAHAHAHHAHAHAH ! rip your wig off ! YESSSSSSS!!!!

The worst thing is that they still recorded the performances. I was even more enraged.

Now I'm starting to regret, I could have done something.

haha paiseh...the flash was too strong so I didnt open my eyes to the full.

I'm not an irrational nationalist, neither do I think that I'm overeacting.
I'll continue tmr. I've got lotsa things to talk about nationalism.
actually I've been seeing wrong things today. bleah

Being Forward-Looking

HELLO THERE ! I'm surprisingly still living happily now, no not in a state of desperation, not freedom-deprived. I'm serious lor. I love to do cluster papers and tys and love going to school to see my classmates, selective schoolmates, and only some school staff. OMG I LOVE MY LIFE.
I HAVE SO MUCH PLANS AFTER O LVLS OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGG I CANNOT WAIT!!!!
yeeeeeeeeeeeeeha! I will take on yoga lessons, resume piano lessons, apply cool part-time jobs, and return to (future) alma mater regularly for good reasons. and definitely, catch up with friends !!! and HK HK HK HK HK !!!!!! WAH WAH WAH *EXCITED* hopefully, I will be able to do all of the above.

okay, I hope I can somewhat make the other fellow o lvl students feel better!
you know when it comes to the graduating year esp. from term 3 onwards, it just happens that school events seem so oblivious to one. So you can just ignore some insignificant personnel out there, that has long been decepted by the school.
And to those who have not made use of or wasted your extremely precious 1st 6 months of the year because of any unfortunate events or due to some assholes (sorry I can't think of any other noun that is less crude than this- I've used personnel already, creative writing workshop advises students to diversify their vocabulary in an essay. )who have caused much disturbances to your crucial year, MOVE ON , stop dreading and go and realise how beautiful life is, really.

I'm still loving my neighbourhood

yahooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I'm quite happy today !

I woke up BEFORE noon and finally went for a jog with my sister. we took a different route today, running all the way to esplanade. I LOVE ESPLANADE! tell you what have I done there so far. sometimes I even purposely walk to esplanade just to look at the magnificent architecture, have a feel of being part of the workforce since it's so near shenton way..ok actually I have a fetish for office attire. If you think that they all look the same, then you are so wrong man ! Now I'm even noticing the men's office wear, WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I always feel so good when I see people wearing matching ties and shirt ( and I don't mean the tie must be of similar colour as the shirt, it's more to that) BEST IF THEY'RE CARRYING authentic SUITCASES, adapted with locking devices that produce a simple click sound. WOAH SO CHIO ! stupid huge stripes of velcro, so noisily irritating.

and normally if they fulfil the above criteria, their shirts should be professionally tucked in, and also fastened with a handsome belt but not too eye catchy (not too sure if theres such a word) as to steal the limelight of the top.

they're just different lar. unlike those sec sch punk wannabes who pull their shorts so low until the butt doesnt seem to exist liddat. WHY DO THEY LOVE FLAT BUTTS SO MUCH ?????? I DON'T UNDERSTAND.

then for the ladies, enough said. I think they're always the ones that are better heeled.

okay, back to esplanade.

saw 2 newly married couples taking photos in their gown ( for the bride).....anddd i don't know what's the bridegroom's one called.

wouldn't any of the pair feel awkward? clashing with another pair at the same photo-taking venue. If I were them, I'll definitely not go to a place that any couple would probably hang around. Zzz like as if I have better suggestion for the venue liddat....ha

anyway, the reason why we took a different route is because my sister says that the kallang river park is under construction so there're lotsa bangalas loitering about the place. IT'S OKAY ! because anywhere that is near the city is within walkable, joggable, cyclable distance from my house. =DDDDDD can always take alternative routes.

ok this entry sounds so pointless....

I'm just glad that I've finally exercised.

you know life is fragile, I want to go for a full body medical check up.

OKAY next, thank you Mr Chan for the middle eastern dinner! WHOOO! I love it-exotic things!

even the function room is so good to slack at !

weida weida wei dadadadadada!
I'm waiting for the photos !
eugene koh koh koh koh koh !!!!!!!!
perak photos!!!!
hahahha i'm mad.
ok yes, kampong glam is becoming hip hor. it's no longer just a sleazy place where the cheesy malay uncles go there to smoke the pipe.
I've learnt a new skill today ! pooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool
ya la..I'm still a noob.

Perak Adventures

trip to perak was such a way back into love, which is good. good choice of earworm during the trip cos that kinda song, sends fluttering butterflies sensation. you know you know?????

you know how deadly can our gastric juice get when it escapes out of the cardiac sphincter?
Bulimic victims get their oesophagus corroded due to the acid and soon, the gullet can no longer function normally.
And then it results in heartburn, whereby certain part of the spine will start to hurt.
It's really a strenuous thing for one when regurgitation has become a routine.
However, in terms of degree of conveniences, that is definitely much preferred than having diahorrea.
PLEASE GET WELL SOON PEOPLE ! I LOVE YOU !!!! ( they're not bulimic, was just stating an example. fyi, their conditions have not been diagnosed yet )

ytd, I've spent 1h 45 mins on scrubbing my 1 week old shoes.
I cleaned it in 2 main phases.
the first one is using detergent: it removes most of the dirt but not those that are carefully stucked in the layers of fibres.
then guess what? I added a mixture of shampoo, conditioner, cream shower (dove one leh !)
and they really help !
don't worry if u've gotten a lil more tanned than before, ure still being loved by me. hahaha...
I've learnt that you gotta be meticulous with every scrub, even the direction must not be alternating esp. for this type of shoes with so many complicated fibrous looking layers.
So now it looks perfectly seasoned and clean! =D

if ure thinking that I must be very stupid to bring along the newbie to an underdeveloped and rural place, logically speaking, ure right but I don't quite agree with you. LOL ! nvm..it's not very impt anyway.
I wore that on the first day,not expecting any muddy encounters but no..... when everyone was so happy to get wet and having their legs mud-smothered at the waterfall. probably due to the extremely long bus ride and people became very excited upon seeing something in so much contrast.

on that day itself, we transferred to the village that lies somewhere in the core of the forest via a lorry. I tell you, that kinda atmosphere can never be experienced once again in any hustling city.
I didn't admire that very much at that point of time as I wasn't feeling quite well (mentally). Nevertheless, I'll still try to reminisce here. okay, lemme start from when everyone had just alighted our coach.
We all stood at a roadside, feeling quite apprehensive. That area housed very minute population.....(in fact I didn't see any or maybe i wasn't observant enough).
Lydia raised her voice a lil, trying to get us off from obstructing the coridors of the houses
Then had I started noticing the residences- with no specific architecture and particular organisation. I took a glimpse into one of them that was dimly lit with red altar lights which can barely penetrate through the dinning room. It seemed vacant though..
Then came the lorry, belched for a second after loaded. It then zestfully brushed against the branches while the dews from the canopies fell on us. This was vivid as the exhaust of the lorry had awfully blended with the lush and humidity.

Who says that staying overnight in a village has got to be a bad experience?
It's not when 3 good meals are provided everyday !!!
and at the very least there was no disrupted supply of water , except when too many ppl are using the tap concurrently.

I shall not elaborate much on the activities we've done. esp. on the 2nd and 3rd day cos yea..you may just get sick of it in case u've read the recount of those who've went already.
In conclusion, we've attempted white water rafting, caving (one of m'sia's biggest cave aka communist cave lol & bat cave), abseiling, rock climbing, high rope obstacles.
yes ! all of them are au naturale , maybe cept for high rope.
yea but you see, it kinda posts a trivial problem when it's not man-made.
You may be having physical contact with unpleasant biological substances such as fungus, faeces, vectors...etc. unknowingly or negligibly.

You know I've realised that Malaysian Malays are quite fond of asking people how old are they. I've been questioned for 4 -5 times already by them and a caucasian, Claude. ( pronounced as cleo-ed) He is a canadian who had stayed in M'sia for only 4 months and is able to speak pretty fluent malay. Now he is an instructor in Normad Adventure. I think the deepest impression he had left me was how he flew off the raft that hidayah and me and 2 other ncc guys shared when we took the killer course.

Maybe departing Perak was not approving of the omnipotent, HAHA. mishaps had happened on the very night.
The 7th lvl of the 3 star hotel was chaotic. good thing that I attended to the right person in the right room.

StupidTester.com says I'm 37% Stupid! How stupid are you? Click Here!

got that from zoe's blog.
not too bad already ok ! considering the fact that my terrible fever had just recovered from a 14- hour sleep.
I've got no idea how did I get that nuisance from. It just suddenly came to me after I've passed the Malaysian Customs.

I'll blog more about the trip in a while's time !

Useless Entry

Why haven't the polyclinic called me yet??????????????????????? I'm supposed to collect my bloodtype results tmr but the nurse also added that they will gimme a call before I make a trip there.

You know right, nowadays I'm a lil eccentric.
have you found yourself getting all hyped up and constantly laughing at every single thing, even those that least resemble an attempted joke? and when you settle down in your own world, you realise that flashbacks will start flooding the mind, except that there seem to be some sort of constrictor surrounding them such that they are unable to escape even when they've reached the brim of the capacity. So they accumulate and replay themselves and thus giving rise to satisfy some emotional needs, such as repeating the music on your favourite playlists over and over again until they hit an amazing count of 99. I always feel that music helps to relieve memories.
However, they're history afterall. Don't let them build up and release themselves in other unpleasant forms when sufficent amount of pressure is set up within the limited volume.

ok i must be crazy.....
just ignore what I've said if you think it's total bullshit. because that's just based on my personal recount.

Without an Identity

today was quite blissful if not for sth that had happened at the later part of the day.
I really look down on people whom make known so publicably on how much they dislike their OWN mother tongue language. have you read xx's latest entry? no I don't think that was too strong a word cos in the first place, these people are already discriminating the people in their community. Since they're already pyschologically detached from where they originally should belong to, I don't see the need to consider them as of same status as the rest of the cultured folks.
In fact, I think they don't even deserve to carry a surname because conventionally, the latter is registed in the form of one's mother tongue language. So it is really illogical for one who hates his mother tongue so much, is often being formally addressed as his name + surname ( which is in a language that they feel is useless, HORRIBLE,...inferior to angmoh) . This must have been very hard on them , as all these while they have been associated with their ethnic community whenever people try to identify them by their surnames.
Maybe this will be quite a practical solution to their trouble: go ICA and change your IC!!!
then perhaps it will be more presentable.
Name: stated as your ANGMOH name only. yea also remove your other name in mother tongue, together with the surname
IC number: SYYXXXXX-Z
Country of birth: Singapore
but wait, not angmoh enough cos Singapore is a multi-racial country.
then lagi easier! just need to go to the whatever embassy and apply for their citizenship !
no need to go through all this shit. hm..although the country of birth cannot be changed, but the IC will not be a property of Singapore anymore ! NO MORE PINK CARD!!SO COOL RIGHT?
NO MORE EYESORES!

but are they even eligible to apply for one when their names are incomplete?
too bad lor...they can only stay here and aggravate idiots like me.

First Blood Test !

HELLO ! although I've got quite a number of things to do for tonight, I'm still blogging away now. ya ya ya...I should prioritise my time but I think it's more impt to talk to myself first !

ohkay goodie. hung ard with the kids today..fizah, hidayah, eugene & mingloon. they accompanied me to a very impt event- BLOODTYPING TEST ! thanks man ! =)
hm that was actually the main point of this post.

I went to the Singhealth polyclinic @ Outram. more medically oriented area...one of the reasons why i chose to go there. True enough, the nurses there are professional, skills and service wise. She made it a point to explain so many things to me like what blood tests are there available cos I was requesting for a general blood test lol
But in the end I only did bloodtyping. Not too bad actually, the blood extraction took only for like 10 seconds? the height of blood lvl that was stored in a test tube people used to contain some erm suspicious looking fluid, was about the length of my index finger. I think that is alot already but according to hafizah, her blood filled up the whole test tube during her blood test. I don't know why in every occasion that is going to run smoothly, some irritating uncle will come and disturb. He was like so act seh, still said , " eh so scared for what????....." cos I was refraining from looking at the process. WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM AR?! cannot close eyes meh? made it sound like as if i was so weak liddat -_-
Mr poon is also another action-packed uncle. He harassingly spoke to Jiayi and I in absolute inaccurate Cantonese when we were so busy searching for the a/emath papers at Mr Lim's desk. and obviously, we ignored him then he finally concluded defensively in a more comprehensive language that we don't understand Cantonese. yea i really dont understand Cantonese but I'm very sure that his pronunciation was totally atrocious. I know because I always pay attention to how Cantoneses yell at each other, which is a pretty common interesting sight actually. and how felix tried to speak Cantonese discreetly over the phone with his mom and yea, I'm a fan of Hongkong serials. No i'm not a Cantonese and my own dialect is the only dialect I know how to converse in. =D
okay back to the topic.

Feeling satisfied and all, we decided to go town and ....slack.
Had a very hearty appetite, can't help buying food at taka's basement. Nvm, it was still quite justifiable cos I only ate 2 slices of bread in the morning when i went for the EL enrichment course.
hm then Eugene, Mingloon and I went to this cartoon fair while fizah and hidayah went for their prayers. YOU KNOW WHAT?
I saw shayden rey and his gf i think. I was right beside him and I had to stare at him for quite some time before he notices me. then he stood right in front of me and continued with a 5-7sec stare ( according to ivan, he shld be probably thinking thoroughly about the comment hes going to make next )
okay....so this was what he said," hey, you didnt grow taller !" I showed the face that I display when I ridicule some people's doings. lol...i think he tried to make it up by saying just kidding and stuff and asking what was i doing there. I replied very vaguely and gave a quarter- of- crescent- moon smile. Do you understand why is this so impactful? that's bcos this is the first ever sentence he had ever said to me in my whole entire life! so in other words, I only got to know how does he sound 5 hours ago? just fyi, I was once a loyal reader of his blog then knew him through the tagboard. that's all

okay!!! next, the most exhillarating part of the day-INTERACTION at coffee bean !
lol...I ought to learn about them anyway! heh

Lazy June

yo I've gt nth in particular to blog about actually, just to tell you that I'm still alive.
quick updates:
I've been living very productively at least for the first week of my June Hols, as compared to any other days.
I don't know why but I think I'm really blessed. Something/someone interesting will somehow materialise into my supposedly monotonous life. good thing, not forgetting those that have constantly been revolving around me.
I tried to organise all my cluster papers but really...I've tried my best. I'm drowning in the pool of papers.......
Quiz Comp prelims is 26 days away ! I have also been doing more intensive revision lately hoping that I would not be smacking my forehead the next time I do the mock paper or during the real competition.
but sometimes when I think about it, are we being realistic to compete with those elites?
haha....they're already predominating the positions in the finals so we, the mediocre people are still trying so hard to achieve something under their intimidation. That's somewhat helping them to succeed if we look at it in a bigger picture. I mean, isn't life meant to be like this? people with higher calibre are bound to win and the average hardworking people are just like stepping stones for them by preventing them from becoming complacent. I'm still very willing to work hard for this competition. Maybe I'm having a change in my reason for the stay. shit am I promoting elitism?
